Dikom Tea Estate
The name Dikom originates from the Bodo word “Di” or “Doi,” meaning water, reflecting the estate’s unique heritage. The history of Dikom traces back to Assam’s Medieval Era, when the local rulers of the Bodo-Kacharies discovered the purity and sweetness of its water. This natural feature remains a defining characteristic of the estate, giving Dikom teas their distinct sweet aftertaste, a hallmark of their exceptional terroir.
Located in the heart of Assam’s premier tea-growing region, Dikom Tea Estate has earned a reputation for producing exceptional Orthodox teas. Renowned for its tippy, bright, and malty teas, Dikom is celebrated as a brand in its own right and is treasured by tea enthusiasts worldwide. Dikom’s fields are meticulously maintained, with 73% clonal area planted with high-quality clones such as P126A, N436, S3A3, T3A3, CP1, and Tenali 17.
