ONGOING COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
REHABILITATION SUPPORT FOR SURVIVORS OF ABUSE
Rossell India is proud to support a rehabilitation programme for survivors of rape and abuse, providing a safe and supportive environment for women to rebuild their lives. The initiative currently houses and rehabilitates over 100 survivors across Delhi, offering housing, food, clothing, and counselling services. The programme also provides skill development training in areas such as sewing, cooking, baking, computer skills, and beautician courses, empowering survivors to achieve self-reliance and financial independence. In addition to vocational training, survivors receive mental health support to help them heal from trauma and forge a path toward a life of dignity. Rossell contributes by supporting rental costs for housing and providing rations, ensuring that these women have access to basic necessities and a stable foundation as they rebuild their futures.

THE EARTH SAVIOURS FOUNDATION (T.E.S.F.)
Established in 2008, The Earth Saviours Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing and providing shelter to the less privileged. The foundation’s shelter homes currently accommodate over 1,200 individuals between the ages of 18 to 100 years, including abandoned senior citizens, homeless mentally disabled people, victims of domestic violence, rape survivors, burn victims, and those suffering from incurable diseases such as HIV and schizophrenia. We are proud to support this organisation and the invaluable work they are doing to ensure that elderly residents and other vulnerable individuals receive essential care, enabling them to live with dignity and respect in their later years.
CSR PROJECTS 2026-27
Flood Relief Efforts in Assam
When severe floods affected communities across Assam, people throughout Rossell Tea came together in support of their local communities. Rossell India Limited, together with contributions from members of the management team at our Head Office and tea estates, donated to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. In addition, our tea estates and their employees independently provided further financial assistance, essential supplies and on-ground support across Assam. These efforts reflect who we are. Rossell Tea is not simply part of Assam's tea industry; our people are part of its communities. In times of hardship, that connection is expressed through collective action and a shared commitment to stand alongside those who need support.

Nokhroy Tea Estate
In an extraordinary collective effort, all employees, including management staff, contributed one day’s wages, raising ₹3,87,336 to support residents of the severely flood-affected Bamonpookrie Tea Estate in Charaideo district.

Romai Tea Estate
Workers, staff and management contributed ₹1.5 lakh towards flood relief. The contribution was presented to the Sonari Circle Office, Charaideo, in coordination with the district administration.

Dikom Tea Estate
Workers, staff and management collectively contributed ₹1 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Kharikatia Tea Estate
The estate supported a post-flood disinfection drive across three affected villages — Kachari Gaon, Junaki Mondal Gaon and Melamati Bill Gaon — in the Titabor area. The initiative was recognised by the Public Health Engineering Department with a certificate of appreciation.

Nagrijuli Tea Estate
Workers, staff and management contributed ₹95,000, along with 200 kg of rice, to support flood-affected communities.

Dhoedaam Tea Estate
The estate provided mosquito nets, blankets and transportation support worth ₹33,700. Workers and staff contributed an additional ₹42,000 towards flood-relief materials.
Namsang Tea Estate
The estate contributed relief materials worth ₹19,310 as part of a coordinated initiative with other tea estates in the Doomdooma Circle. Staff members also contributed ₹6,000 towards essential relief supplies.

Keshav Baheti Surjudaya Children's Home (Nutrition)
Continuing our support for Keshav Baheti Surjudaya Children's Home, located near our Dhoedaam Tea Estate, Rossell India contributed towards providing a year's supply of vegetables and wheat for the 32 children in its care. By helping meet their nutritional needs, we aim to support their health, wellbeing and overall development, while reaffirming our commitment to the communities surrounding our tea estates.

Keshav Baheti Surjudaya Children Home (Nutrition)
Located near our Dhoedaam Tea Estate, Keshav Baheti Surjudaya Children's Home provides residential care and support for 32 orphaned children. Through our contribution, Rossell India helps provide nutritious meals for the children, supporting their health, wellbeing and development. This partnership reflects our commitment to strengthening the communities in which we operate and creating a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

CSR PROJECTS 2024-25
Classroom Furniture for Gatoonga High School near Kharikatia Tea Estate
To address the shortage of desks, benches, and office furniture at Gatoonga High School, we provided 20 pairs of desks and benches along with two office tables and chairs. This initiative helped create a more organised and comfortable learning environment for both students and staff.


Silent Generator for a Rural Hospital near Nagrijuli Tea Estate
We donated a 5 kVA silent generator to a rural hospital near Nagrijuli Tea Estate to ensure uninterrupted power supply for critical hospital operations. The hospital’s existing generator was beyond repair, and this upgrade has improved the reliability of essential medical services for the surrounding community.


CSR PROJECTS 2023-24
Classroom Roof Replacement and Furniture for Phulampur High School
At Phulampur High School, we replaced the roofs of two classrooms to address major leaks and improve safety. Additionally, we provided desks, benches, bookshelves, blackboards, and a printer to enhance the learning environment for students.



Building Repairs and Classroom Furniture for Gyanjyoti ME School
We carried out comprehensive repairs at Gyanjyoti ME School, including floor and ceiling replacement to address structural issues. Desks and benches were also provided to create a safe, well-equipped space for students.



New Toilets for Girls and Boys' Toilet Renovation at Jatya Vidyalaya School
To improve sanitation at Jatya Vidyalaya School, we constructed new toilets for girls and renovated the boys' facilities, including running water installations. This initiative significantly enhanced hygiene standards for the students.



Classroom Furniture for Adarsh Vidyalaya School
To support quality education at Adarsh Vidyalaya School, we provided desks and benches to address the shortage of classroom furniture, improving the overall learning environment for students.


CSR PROJECTS 2022-23
Hostel Beds and Classroom Furniture for Gyansukh, Tinsukia
We provided hostel beds and classroom furniture, including desks and benches, to Gyansukh, a school for orphans in Tinsukia. Gyansukh, established in 2014, supports more than 120 children from tea gardens and neighbouring villages. The institute provides education up to Class X and offers a safe and nurturing environment for children in need. Notably, five boys from our Dikom Tea Estate are currently residents of this institution.


Construction of a Classroom and Furniture for Kechasona School near Nokhroy Tea Estate
To address the critical need for additional learning space, we constructed a new classroom and provided essential furniture to Kechasona School, which serves underprivileged students from Nokhroy and neighbouring villages. The school faced a significant challenge, with particularly Class X experiencing a student-to-class ratio of nearly 100:1, impacting the quality of education. Our support included the donation of 20 pairs of desks and benches, two wooden library bookshelves, two wooden almirahs, and a wooden box, creating a more conducive learning environment.



Flood Relief for Villages near Nagrijuli Tea Estate
In response to severe flooding in the Latibari/Betagaon village near Nagrijuli Tea Estate, we provided relief materials to affected families to help them recover and rebuild their lives. Our support included essential supplies to alleviate the immediate impact of the disaster.


Classroom Furniture for Nagrijuli High School
Recognising a shortage of classroom furniture, we donated desks and benches to Nagrijuli High School, enhancing the school's infrastructure and providing students with a more comfortable and structured learning environment.


Classroom Furniture and Auditorium Renovation for Moderkhat Girls High School near Romai Tea Estate
We supported Moderkhat Girls High School with the provision of classroom furniture, as well as the renovation of its auditorium, which had suffered from major roof leaks and poor flooring. The auditorium's roof was replaced, the floor repaired, and electrical work completed to improve the facility for the students.




Construction of Toilets at Gatoonga High School near Kharikatia Tea Estate
To address the lack of sanitation facilities at Gatoonga High School, we constructed a new toilet block for boys and girls, complete with running water. The fully tiled RCC structure has significantly improved hygiene levels for the school’s 150 students.

CSR PROJECTS 2021-22
Construction of Toilets at Nagrijuli Junior College
To improve hygiene and sanitation facilities, we constructed a fully equipped girls' toilet block with a water tank at Nagrijuli Junior College. This initiative aimed to provide a safer and more hygienic environment for the students.


Distribution of Computers and Chairs at Kasturba Girls Hostel, Dibrugarh
Recognising the importance of digital learning, we provided computers and chairs to Kasturba Girls Hostel. This computer room has been immensely beneficial for the girls, enabling them to learn computer skills within the hostel premises, as many students are unable to afford external courses or travel to nearby towns for training.


Classroom Furniture for Phulampur High School, Lahoal
To enhance the learning environment at Phulampur High School, we donated 20 pairs of desks and benches, along with a bookshelf. These resources have helped improve classroom conditions and create a more organised learning space for students.

Meal Distribution for Migrant Labourers During the COVID-19 Pandemic
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we organised meal distribution drives in Guwahati to support migrant labourers. This initiative provided essential food supplies to vulnerable communities during a challenging time, ensuring they had access to meals when they needed it most.

WILDLIFE CONSERVATION
LEOPARD RELOCATION AT DIKOM TEA ESTATE
Following increased leopard sightings at Dikom Tea Estate due to habitat destruction, Rossell formed a Wildlife Committee to work with local communities and forest authorities. This initiative has successfully relocated 37 leopards to the Dehing-Patkai Rainforest Reserve, promoting human-wildlife coexistence.
HUMAN-ELEPHANT COEXISTENCE AT NAGRIJULI & KHARIKATIA
Frequent elephant sightings in our Nagrijuli and Kharikatia estates led to the development of awareness programs aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence between humans and elephants. These programs have fostered a deeper respect for wildlife among local communities, reducing conflicts and ensuring safe environments for both people and animals.

CLIMATE ACTION & CARBON REDUCTION
CARBON NEUTRAL JOURNEY
As part of our commitment to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions, Dikom, Nagrijuli, Romai and Kharikatia Tea Estates have been certified Carbon Neutral by the Nansen Environmental Research Centre (India).
Our ongoing efforts focus on measuring, reducing and offsetting emissions across our operations.
SOLAR POWER PLANTS
Our renewable energy journey began with the installation of our first solar power plant at Kharikatia Tea Estate in 2024.
Today, five of our seven tea estates — Kharikatia, Dikom, Romai, Nagrijuli and Dhoedaam — are equipped with solar power plants, significantly increasing our use of clean, renewable energy across our operations
RESTORING NATURAL ECOSYSTEMS
As part of our commitment to carbon sequestration, we plant approximately 25,000 trees annually.
Complementing our tree plantation programme, we are expanding the use of biochar and implementing biodiversity conservation practices to improve soil health, strengthen ecosystem resilience and support long-term carbon reduction.
